To advance the internationalization of our university's education and deepen pragmatic cooperation between Chinese and Hungarian institutions of higher learning, a delegation from Wekerle International University, Hungary — comprising Mr. Ma Junkai, Executive Director; Mr. Huang Junfeng, Head of China Affairs at the International Cooperation Department; and Ms. Yang Ruiqing, Advisor — visited our university on the morning of June 9, 2026, and held an exchange symposium at the university's Shandou Lecture Hall.

Mr. Zhao Shouying, Member of the University Party Committee Standing Committee and Vice President (the department-director level), attended the meeting and delivered a welcome speech. Also present were Mrs. Huang Dan, Dean and Party Secretary of the Business School, and Mr. Xiong Weicheng, Dean of the School of Mathematics and Big Data. The meeting was chaired by Mrs. Zhang Bin, Director of the International Office.

At the meeting, Mr. Zhao Shouying extended a warm welcome to the distinguished guests on behalf of the university, and briefed them on the university's history of operation, discipline development and internationalization progress. Ms. Ma Junkai, Executive Director, also delivered a speech, introducing the educational characteristics, disciplinary strengths and international cooperation portfolio of Wekerle International University.

Following the symposium, the delegation from Wekerle International University visited the School of Mathematics and Big Data and the Business School for exchanges, and held cooperative discussions on the disciplinary strengths and talent cultivation models of relevant programs at both universities.

This meeting marks that under the educational cooperation framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, our university will maintain close communication with Wekerle International University, promote the pragmatic implementation of bilateral cooperation, and contribute to the development of educational causes and people-to-people and cultural exchanges between the two institutions.
